The Project

Working on the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm – the first part of the Moray Firth Zone to be developed – Gibb Group delivered a range of PPE and tooling equipment to a vast number of personnel together with the supply of additional equipment to other sub-contractors.

The Challenge

Supplying 100+ technicians and representatives with PPE equipment. Providing a range of at height equipment including sea survival kits. Adapting to a number of new work packages progressing simultaneously and where PPE and MRO equipment was required in the same timescales. Supplying a number of other sub-contractors with support around work requirements including maintenance teams, insulation and transfer vessels. The collection of kits to be serviced from a number of locations to meet stringent Covid restrictions.

The Solution

All equipment and apparatus delivered on time, on specification, on budget and including all additional out of scope works. A successful logistical programme delivering and collecting equipment and apparatus from initial distribution to servicing and returns. Initiating and maintaining a full PPE and management system for the project. Reacting to a changing scope and fast-moving project that successfully positioned Gibb Group as the recognized provider of PPE and MRO equipment and a trusted partner on additional sub-contractor supporting requirements.
